Spring Creek students’ poetry recognized by A&M Garden Club

The A&M Garden Club recognized a group of fourth-grade students at Spring Creek

Elementary School with certificates for their poems entered in local, district and state youth contests.

Fifty-eight students wrote poems, which Spring Creek teacher Kristin Dungan compiled into a book and had placed in the school library.

Judges for the contest were Bernita Clark, Kevin Pearce, Karen Riedel, Carolyn Parsons, Maxwell Cohen and Eugenia Williams.

Entries for the fall poetry contest will be due in October.
