United Way kicks off community campaign with luncheon

The United Way of the Brazos Valley kicked off its 2019-2020 Community Campaign with a luncheon on Aug. 6 that attracted nearly 500 community members and raised more than $100,000.

Gen. Joe Ramirez, commandant of the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets was the luncheon’s keynote speaker. Ramirez served on the United Way of the Brazos Valley Board of Directors for six years, including one year as the board chair.
