HS Football Media Day 2019

Anderson-Shiro’s Zacarrius Haynes spent the summer organizing workouts for his teammates as the Owls prepared for what they hope will be another big season after returning to the playoffs last year.

Anderson-Shiro running back and cornerback Zacarrius Haynes was named the Class 3A Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Week for Week 2.

Haynes rushed for 400 yards and six touchdowns on 19 carries is the Owls’ 40-21 win over Leon on Friday. He also had four tackles and three pass breakups and won The Eagle’s fan poll for Brazos Valley player of the week.

Anderson-Shiro (2-0) will host Iola (2-0) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
