The Brazos Valley Bombers are still over two months from Opening Day but have already started to make their mark on Bryan-College Station this season.

The Bombers on Friday donated over 100 shirts to Family Promise of  Bryan-College Station, which is working in partnership with First Watch Cafe in Bryan to hold a toy and clothing drive for all of March.

People can donate clothes and toys at First Watch for the rest of the month.

Some key areas of need include children and adult socks, light sweaters and jackets, learning toys for infants and toddlers and picture books for toddlers, but all donations are appreciated.

“We are a firm believer that our future starts first with children and we are excited to partner with two amazing organizations like the Bombers and Family Promise,” First Watch general manager Scott Fraley said. “We’re honored to be able to give back to such a great community that’s supported us and welcomed us with open arms.”

Family Promise of Bryan-College Station is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that supports families with children by providing shelter, meals and support services as they work toward self-sufficiency.
