BRENHAM — The Rudder girls basketball team lost a back-and-forth District 18-4A matchup against Brenham 51-42 on Friday night.

Ke’Asia Williams led Rudder (19-10, 11-3) with 21 points, and Ebony James scored 10.

After several lead changes in the first half, Brenham pulled away with James and Williams in foul trouble in the third quarter. Rudder cut Brenham’s lead to three points midway through the fourth quarter, but couldn’t get closer.

Rudder will host Willis at 6 p.m. Tuesday at The Armory.
