AUSTIN — The Cameron girls golf team tied for eighth in the Class 3A state tournament Tuesday at Grey Rock Golf Club. McGregor won at 335–692 followed by Lago Vista (357–726) and Callisburg (359–741). Cameron shot 405-400 to tie Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill at 805.

SPRING — The College Station golf teams advanced to the regional tournament with the boys winning the team title and the girls placing second at the District 19-5A tournament Monday and Tuesday at Gleannloach Pines Golf Club.

The Rockdale boys golf team qualified for the state tournament by winning the Class 3A Region III on Monday and Tuesday at Brenham Country Club by shooting 683. Cameron also will advance to state with a third-place finish and two-day score of 705. 

Texas A&M junior golfer Max Miller qualified for the Texas Amateur by posting the best score during a qualifying round Monday at The Club at Houston Oaks.

The Highland Park Blue team beat San Antonio Johnson 3.5-1.5 in the championship match of the A&M Consolidated boys golf team’s third annual Aggieland Match Play Championship on Saturday at The Golf Club at Texas A&M.
