AMC Girls Venture Into the Cougar Den

A&M Consolidated’s Khyj Thomas (left) and College Station’s Sydni Binford compete for a header on Tuesday night in District 18-5A girls soccer action at Cougar Stadium. The school district rivals played to their second straight tie, this time finishing 0-0 after tying at 1 earlier in the season.

Texas high school soccer teams move to the area round of the postseason this week, with Bryan-College Station teams beginning play Thursday. 

Seven Brazos Valley teams remain in the playoffs after the bi-district round, with the College Station girls and both teams from A&M Consolidated, Madisonville and Navasota still playing. 

The College Station boys team was eliminated by Nacogdoches in the bi-district round.
