Leon junior Caitlynn Bargas and Brenham senior Makenna Schroeder were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s all-state track teams.

Bargas, who made the 2A team, competed in three events at the state meet, taking fifth in the 300 hurdles in 47.43 seconds. She was eighth in the 100 hurdles (16.59) She also anchored the 4x400 relay that ran 4:12.70 for eighth. She won the 300 hurdles at the Region III meet in 46.59 and was second in the 100 hurdles (16.53)

Schroeder, who signed with Sam Houston State, was the 19-5A champ in the 300 intermediate hurdles (44.61) and also won at the area meet. She was third at regionals (45.60).
