Magnolia’s cross country teams swept the titles at the District 19-5A meet Thursday at the Bryan Municipal Park.

The Magnolia boys had all five runners finish in the Top 10 to edge out College Station 34 points to 39. A&M Consolidated was third with 64, followed by Magnolia West (98), Brenham (100), Katy Paetow (177), Waller (206) and Rudder (216).

Magnolia’s girls had an easier time of it with 23 points followed by Magnolia West (68), College Station (75), Brenham (91) and Consol (95).

Magnolia’s Dylan Sequeira won the boys division in 16:30.26 with College Station grabbing the next three spots with Joseph Benn (16:31.99), Sid Jayaraman (16:52.66) and Matthew McGinnis (16:59.24). A&M Consolidated’s Miles Versaw was seventh in 17:17.03.

The Magnolia girls also had all five runners finish in the Top 10. Consol’s Lillian Cloud was seventh in 20:08.71 and College Station’s Grace Wu was 10th in 20:08.74.

The top three teams advance to the Region III meet in Huntsville on Oct. 22.
