NAVASOTA — Zach Dyer accounted for three touchdowns, and Darius Randle ran for another to help lead Navasota past Houston Worthing 29-20 in District 12-4A Division I action Friday on Homecoming night at Rattler Stadium.
Dyer threw a 38-yard TD pass to La’Darrin Thomas in the second quarter, and Navasota (3-4, 3-0) led 15-12 at halftime. In the third quarter, Randle scored on a 3-yard run, and Dyer threw a 12-yard TD pass to Montarius Love to push the Rattlers’ lead to 29-12.
Navasota’s defense held Worthing (3-3, 1-2) to 250 yards of total offense, including just 46 yards on 24 carries.
Dyer ran for 108 yards on 14 carries, and Randle added 71 on nine. Dyer also threw for 134 yards on 9-of-20 passing with one interception as the Rattlers gained 400 yards of total offense.
Navasota will play at Stafford at 7 p.m. next Friday.
