The Rudder volleyball team lost its matches against Spring and Huntsville in a triangular meet Tuesday at Spring.

The Rangers (0-2) lost 3-2 (25-20, 28-30, 22-25, 27-25, 9-15) to Spring and 3-1 (21-25, 23-25, 25-18, 22-25) to Huntsville. Sophomore middle Asani McGee had 23 total kills and four blocks, while senior setter Kaylee Herd had 18 kills, 38 assists and four aces and senior outside hitter Taylor Baker finished with 17 kills, 33 digs and five aces. Senior defensive specialist McKenna Muth and junior libero Gracie Menchaca each recorded 33 digs, while Muth had six aces and Menchaca three. Junior Hailey Pohl recorded 18 digs and 41 assists.

Rudder returns to action Thursday in the Jason Landers tournament in Austin.
