CYPRESS — Coco Gillett had 14 kills, six digs and four aces, and Megan Vaughan had seven kills and 33 assists to help pace the Bryan volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-23, 28-26 victory over Cypress Park in District 14-6A play Tuesday.

The A&M Consolidated Middle School football teams went 2-2 against Brenham on Tuesday. AMCMS seventh grade Black won 31-7, while the Silver lost 34-6. AMCMS eight grade Black won 8-0, and the Silver lost 21-6.

BRENHAM — Brooke Borden had a season-high 16 digs, and Giulia Hortelan had 15 kills to lead the 15th-ranked Blinn volleyball team past Coastal Bend 25-10, 25-14, 25-20 for its fourth straight sweep Tuesday at the Kruse Center.

HOUSTON — Despite a late safety, Brenham hung on to beat Houston Heights 42-38 on Saturday in a nondistrict football game at Delmar Stadium.

NEW WAVERLY — Leon scored a pair of touchdowns and shut out New Waverly in the second half, but the Bulldogs held on for a 23-20 win over the Cougars on Friday.

FRANKLIN — Franklin’s slot-T offense is known more for eating up yards and clock than quickly getting down field, but the Lions proved they can do both on Friday night.

LEXINGTON — Rockdale scored the first three touchdowns and rolled to a 45-13 nondistrict victory over the Lexington Eagles on Friday night.

Snook beat Waco Texas Wind 60-12 in its homecoming game Friday night at Allen Academy’s Baker Field. It was the first win of head coach Boone Patterson’s tenure with the Bluejays.

CAMERON — Cameron’s quarterbacks completed all 13 passes on Friday the 13th to lead the Yoemen to a 68-34 romp over the Gatesville Hornets.

HEARNE – The Cornerstone Christian Warriors from San Antonio remained unbeaten with a 51-7 nondistrict victory over Hearne on Friday. Hearne dropped to 1-2.

NORMANGEE – Normangee grabbed a 37-12 nondistrict victory over the Lovelady Lions in a battle of 0-2 teams that gave Panther first-year coach Keith Sitton his first victory.

CENTERVILLE — The Centerville football team picked up its first victory of the season as freshman Paxton Hancock rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown in a 22-13 win over Trinity in nondistrict play Friday night.

MILANO – Class 2A-Division II’s 10th-ranked Bremond Tigers defeated the Milano Eagles 44-6 in nondistrict Friday night.

BURTON — The Shiner Comanches used a balanced attack to power their way to a 49-0 nondistrict victory over the Burton Panthers in a matchup of Top 10 teams Friday night.

HOUSTON — Brazos Christian senior Bryce Steel threw for the game’s first five touchdowns as the Eagles rolled to a 54-0 nondistrict victory over the KIPP Houston Kerberos on Friday night.

Nickolaus Victoria ran for two touchdowns, and Quin’Terrious Taylor and Creed Pierce each ran for one to help lead the Bryan freshman Silver football team past Rudder 24-0 on Wednesday.

SHEPHERD — Asani McGee had 18 kills and four blocks, and Gracie Menchaca had 18 digs and five aces to lead the Rudder volleyball team past Shepherd 21-25, 25-10, 25-19, 25-14 on Tuesday in nondistrict play.
