FRANKLIN — The Normangee softball team is capable of piling on the runs, but that’s not always necessary when Ashlyn Teran is in the circle and the Lady Panthers’ defense is in the field.
College Station softball was dominant in its district, cruised through bi-district playoff action and has a tough opponent in the area round.
The Milano boys track and field team scored 94 points to win the 2A Region IV title on Saturday in Kingsville.
GIDDINGS — The Somerville girls basketball team defeated Milano 52-31 on Tuesday in the Class 2A bi-district playoffs.
Somerville defeated Milano 51-31 in Class 2A girls bi-district basketball play Tuesday night in Giddings. Somerville will play San Saba in area later this week. Centerville downed Cayuga 62-28 in bi-district in Elkhart. Centerville will play the Hubbard-Moody winner in area later this week.
The Milano girls basketball team will play Somerville in a Class 2A bi-district matchup at 7 p.m. next Tuesday at Giddings.
