MAGNOLIA — College Station girls soccer coach Stoney Pryor spent the week before a Class 5A bi-district playoff against New Caney Porter warning his team that it shouldn’t overlook the four seed out of District 20-5A. He was right.

The Navasota girls soccer team lost 2-0 in penalty kicks to Taylor in the bi-district round of the playoffs on Thursday in Rockdale. The Navasota boys also lost 8-3 to Eastside Memorial in the bi-district round.

The Navasota girls soccer team will take on Taylor in a Class 4A bi-district game at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Rockdale. The Lady Rattlers finished fourth in District 25-4A, and Taylor was the District 26-4A winner. The JV team was fourth with 79 points.

Maritza Puebla and Blanco Aguayo each scored a goal, and Maria Rocha and Princess Rodriguez had assists to lead the Navasota girls soccer team past Smithville 2-0 in District 25-4A play Friday.

Jacob Hrncir scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner with 4 minutes left on a 25-yard free kick, as the A&M Consolidated boys soccer team beat Magnolia 2-1 on Friday in District 19-5A play at Tigerland Stadium.

Olivia Riechman had a hat trick, and Kayla Vasquez, Reese Garratt and Taylor Deuel each scored two goals to help lead the College Station girls soccer team to a 9-0 victory over Waller on Friday in District 19-5A play at Cougar Stadium.
