Bryan’s spring banquet Monday night was the last one for retiring Viking tennis coach Randy Stewart, who was at the helm 24 years. Stewart handed out several awards, including Most Valuable Awards to Jacob Yancy and Kristin Paholek.

The A&M Consolidated Tigers defeated Montgomery 10-0 in the Class 5A Region III quarterfinals Tuesday at the Tiger Courts. Consol advances to play Alvin Shadow Creek in the regional semifinals Friday in Katy. Consol is shooting for its fifth straight trip to the state tournament.
