UIL Wrestling Championships

A&M Consolidated's Harley Coons stands on top of the podium after receiving his medal for winning the 160-pound boys division at the UIL Class 5A Wrestling Championships on Saturday in Cypress.

The A&M Consolidated, Bryan, College Station and Rudder wrestling teams took part in the UIL Class 6A and 5A state meet Saturday in Cypress. 

Consol's Harley Coons (160 pounds) and Za'Maia Marshall (148) each won state titles for their weight class, the first two state wrestling titles in Consol history. 

Consol coach Dave Salyer and Bryan coach Mike Zito talk about how their teams did at the state meet.
