Western Hills rallied from deficits twice to defeat Lufkin 11-9 in the Little League Major Baseball Section 1 tournament championship game Thursday at Bachmann Park.

Lufkin, trailing 11-7 heading into the bottom of the sixth, scored a pair of runs and had the bases loaded, but Western Hills held on to win the second of three games between the two.

Western Hills advances to the Texas East State Tournament in Tyler, where it will play Lamar National on July 20.
