Community Spotlight

Comfort Keepers would like to take
this opportunity to recognize a very
special couple, Ben and Wendy Erdman.
Ben and Wendy live out the Aggie Spirit
in Bryan/College Station on a daily
basis through their love and dedication
to this community and its residents.
Wendy grew up in Bryan, Texas, while
her husband, Ben, made his way to
Bryan from Virginia in 1981. Ben and
Wendy have been married for 16 years
and just celebrated their anniversary on
July 19th. Wendy has been serving the
Bryan/College Station Community at the
Bryan Chick Fil A for 24 years. Ben worked
for Texas A&M for 22 years before his
In addition to their day jobs, Ben and
Wendy both make an impact on our

community by volunteering with the
Down Syndrome Association of Brazos
Valley. The Erdman’s attend and help
with support groups for people with
Down syndrome. They would like to
encourage more people to get involved
with these support groups by attending
profits shares and other events that
can be found on the Down Syndrome
Association of Brazos Valley Facebook
page. Wendy says, “These profit shares
and events are a great way to connect
with the community and meet new
friends.” Ben and Wendy also have a team
for Buddy Walk, Team Erdman. This event
will be taking place October 6th and
raises money for the Down Syndrome
Ben and Wendy love double dates, the

color red, dancing, singing karaoke, and
going out to eat at Texas Road House
or Cheddars. One of Wendy’s favorite
memories is going skydiving with
Comfort Keepers owner Aron Collins
for their shared 40th birthday. Wendy
loves this memory and said she would
love to do it again. They are both most
proud of their marriage, the condo they
own together, and their impact through
the Down Syndrome Association.
Through their many efforts, Ben and
Wendy Erdman contribute to the Bryan/
College Station community through their
genuine love and kindness to others and
Comfort Keepers would like to say “thank
you”for being a shining example to us all.
