Amish Furniture holding sale on dining tables and chairs
It’s time to start thinking about the
holidays. Amish Furniture for Generations is holding its 16th annual tables and
chairs sale now through Sept. 7, giving
shoppers a chance to get great deals on
dining furniture they order in time to use
for their big Thanksgiving meal.
The sale is 10 percent off all dining
tables and chairs, whether ordered from
catalogues or purchased off the showroom floor.
Kent suggests that customers start
shopping now for their tables and chairs,
to get them in time to use for Thanksgiving. It typically takes about six to eight
weeks for orders to be delivered, he said,
but that time can be longer as it gets closer to the holidays. That’s the reason for
the timing of the sale.
“No, it’s not too early to think about
Thanksgiving,” he said. “Order now so
we have plenty of time to get them in for
Thanksgiving.”
While last-minute shoppers will certainly get a quality piece of furniture
off the showroom floor, Kent wants customers to get exactly the dining set they
want in time to use for their Thanksgiving meal. They might also want to take

advantage of the sale to order pieces for
hosting a Christmas meal, to give as a
Christmas gift or just to upgrade their
current dining furniture. The store also
has several accessory pieces that can
match a dining set, such as sideboards,
hutches and pie safes.
“There are over 350 table and chair
styles, so there are a lot of choices,” Kent
said.
Customers can customize pieces to
get the perfect dining set for their home.
They can pick the type of wood and finish they like for all pieces, as well as the
size and style of the table and the style of
table edge. Wood choices include cherry,
brown maple, oak, ¼-sawn oak, hickory
and walnut.
The tables in Amish Furniture’s sale
can generally seat anywhere from three
to 30 people, thanks to the Amish builders’ ability to do custom work. Kent said
the space in someone’s home is more
likely to limit seating ability than the size
of his tables.

Generations are 100 percent made in the
