Art students at Allen Academy created formal wear fashions out of recycled products, including newspapers, encyclopedia pages and maps.

Mannequins displaying the outfits will be featured at The Collection Boutique in College Station through mid-November. A happy hour event to honor the students who designed the outfits is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 4. The event is open to the public, and 15 percent of purchases made during the event will be donated to the Allen Academy art program. Students involved in the project were Madison Westbrook, Sara Zoghi, Marley Klaus, Olivia Barron, Reagan Lasell, Kara Davis, Kyle Gilstrap, Rayan Tejani, Joseph Guo, Adam Acock, Isaiah Savala, Ben Syptak and Jaxon Rodell. The art teacher in charge of the project was Barbara Ferreira.

The Collection Boutique is at 340 George Bush Drive.
