Cowboys were preparing for the 2nd Annual Chuckwagon Cook-off, part of the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History's Boonville Days Living History Fair. The wagons, historically used to carry food and cooking implements across the prairies, were judged on historical accuracy as well as the skill of the cook. The Boonville Days event continues on Saturday with 5k and half-marathon runs, demonstrations of frontier crafts, trades and music.
