Two events are being held at Texas A&M University to recognize February as Black History Month.

The MSC Woodson Black Awareness Committee will present a race and religion symposium at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Rudder Tower, Room 301. Poets Bryonn Bain, Jason Carney and Ishle Park will perform.

Clinical psychologist Na'im Akbar will present a lecture titled "Black History and Black Psychology" on Feb. 28 in Rudder Tower, Room 601 from 6 to 8 p.m.
