A man believed to have robbed a Normangee store in September was arrested Monday in Houston.

According to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Dean Allen Malone Sr. was arrested near the Willowbrook Mall in Houston on Monday night. He was taken into custody through combined efforts of Gulf Coast Fugitive Task Force of the U.S. Marshals Service, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the Magnolia Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Malone robbed a Brookshire Brothers grocery store on Sept. 22.

He is charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison and $10,000 in fines. He is being held in Montgomery County and will be transferred to the Leon County Jail.
