Bryan police were investigating Sunday after a man was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Officials said two people reported a man with a gun entered their home in the 1200 block of California Street around 2 a.m. Sunday and demanded money.

There was a struggle over the gun, authorities said, and the man who entered the home ran off after being shot. The residents were not injured, police said.

Bryan police said the man remained in the hospital Sunday afternoon. He was stable, officials said, but his condition was not known.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 209-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 775-TIPS.
