Bryan police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person believed to have stolen a truck before attempting to take an ATM.

According to Bryan police, around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the Chase Bank on Boonville Road, where someone had attempted to take an ATM. Authorities determined someone used a Dodge pickup to remove the machine from its location at the bank. The ATM was dragged a short distance, but no money was taken. Officers found the truck abandoned in the 2400 block of Austins Colony Parkway, and later learned the truck had been stolen from the 3700 block of Copperfield Drive.

Police ask anyone living along Copperfield near Pendeleton Drive and Austins Colony near Settlers Way contact police with any home security footage recorded between 1 and 4 a.m. Wednesday, particularly if they notice any vehicle traffic or images of people walking in the area.

Anyone with any information on this case is asked to call Bryan PD’s Criminal Investigation Division at 979-209-5300, or submit a tip to Crime Stoppers at 979-775-8477.
