A Bryan man accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl with a mental disability remained in the Brazos County Jail Friday morning.

Erik Garza, 30, was charged Thursday with aggravated sexual assault of a disabled person, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a parole violation.

His bail was set at $52,420.

Authorities said the girl's mother contacted police on Sunday after her daughter told her Garza touched her inappropriately.

The girl's younger brother told authorities he witnessed Garza touching the girl inappropriately on more than one occasion, according to the police report.
