A College Station man was arrested Thursday after authorities said a search warrant led to the discovery of drugs.
According to College Station police, investigators were suspicious of possible marijuana sales coming from an apartment in the 2400 block of Central Park Lane. A search warrant was executed just before 5 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities said police found a backpack that contained seven THC cartridges, 14.5 grams of marijuana, 5.5 grams of ecstasy, less than a gram of Xanax, an amphetamine pill, 2.3 grams of Clonazapan, a digital scale, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia. The bag also held a wallet belonging to Jonas Mark Lewis Jr., 22, who was in the apartment.
Lewis is charged with delivery of THC and ecstasy, both first-degree felonies punishable by up to 99 years in prison; and unlawful possession of a firearm, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The drug charges may be enhanced because of the proximity to a public park, which is considered a drug-free zone.
Lewis was released from the Brazos County Jail on $40,000 bond.
