A Houston man was arrested early Friday after police say he broke into the J.C. Penney store at Post Oak Mall.

According to College Station police, around 2:10 a.m., authorities received a call that a witness saw a man inside the J.C. Penney location at the mall. Officers responded to the store and saw a suspicious vehicle leaving.

Authorities stopped the car and found the driver matched the description of the man inside the store, as well as property from J.C. Penney inside the vehicle.

Demond Finister, 43, was arrested and charged with burglary of a building, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in a state jail and a fine up to $10,000.
