The College Station Police Department was investigating Thursday after gunshots were fired in the 2100 block of Southwood Drive.
Police said officers responded to the area around 2 a.m. after a resident reported people were trying to force their way into their apartment and vehicle. The resident confronted the people, authorities said, and shots were fired, striking the apartment and a vehicle in the parking lot. No one was injured, police said.
As officers arrived, several men dressed in black were seen running from the area, authorities said. After a brief chase, two were detained. A third man was found hiding in a backyard on Airline Drive.
All three, ages 17, 18 and 19, were charged with evading arrest on foot, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing and more charged are possible, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 764-3600.
