A Houston man was charged with intoxication assault early Thursday after a major accident on Harvey Mitchell Parkway in College Station.

Police said Nicholas Wuthrich caused an accident with another vehicle around 2:30 a.m. north of F&B Road. The driver of the other vehicle suffered what police called incapacitating injuries. His condition was not released Thursday morning.

Intoxication assault is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Wuthrich, 22, remained in the Brazos County Jail Thursday evening with bail set at $30,000.
