A Bryan man wanted in connection to a stabbing that left his brother-in-law dead has turned himself in to authorities, police said.

According to Bryan police, Deryl Desaussure Jackson Jr., 41, turned himself in on Tuesday.

Officers responded to the 600 block of North Baylor Avenue on July 5 after receiving a report of an aggravated assault. Authorities said an altercation took place between the victim, identified as 33-year-old Jevel Kinney of Houston, and some of his family members. Kinney’s brother-in-law, identified as Jackson, confronted him and stabbed him, police said.

Jackson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is being held in the Brazos County Jail on $100,000 bond.
