A San Antonio man was taken into custody after a standoff near Texas 6 on Thursday, police said.

According to College Station police's social media, around 7:35 p.m., officers located a vehicle near Rock Prairie Road and Texas 6 that had been reported stolen.

Authorities pulled the vehicle over and it stopped, but the person inside refused to exit, police said. Around 9 p.m., police arrested Tyler Stevens Clark, 34, of San Antonio.

Clark has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, all state jail felonies each punishable by up to two years in a state jail. He is also being held on a parole violation warrant out of Bexar County on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

His bail was set at $15,000, according to court records.
