A Madisonville police officer and a Madison County Sheriff’s deputy were injured when both agents’ patrol vehicles were involved in a crash.

According to a Facebook post from Madisonville Police Department, at about 11:30 p.m. Friday, a Madisonville police officer and a county sheriff’s deputy had been heading to separate calls for assistance when their vehicles were involved in a collision on East Main Street. The post does not clarify whether any other parties were involved in the crash.

The sheriff’s deputy was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; the city officer was treated on scene for minor injuries.
