A benefit for a Korean War veteran who suffered a brain aneurism in January is set for Saturday at VFW Post 4692.

Barbecue plates will be sold beginning at 1 p.m., and there will be a dance from

8 p.m. to midnight.

Raffle tickets will be sold and monetary donations will be accepted at the door.

Proceeds will go to help longtime Bryan resident Baldemar “Balde” Garza, who served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1960.

The VFW Post is at 794 Harvey Mitchell Parkway in Bryan.
