Two Brazos Valley restaurants have been named as finalists in Texas Monthly’s 2019 Reader’s Choice BBQ Bracket.

Snow’s BBQ in Lexington and Brett’s Backyard Bar-B-Que in Rockdale are among eight barbecue restaurants remaining from the original 32, Texas Monthly announced Wednesday, adding that Brett’s is the only restaurant from the Top New Barbecue Joints to make it through two rounds of votes. Snow’s took on College Station joint 1775 BBQ in the first round of the competition.

In the current matchup, Snow’s is taking on Louie Mueller Barbecue from Taylor after ousting 1775 in the first round, and Evie Mae’s BBQ from Lubbock in the second. If Snow’s advances in this round, it will take on either Cooper’s Old time Pit Bar-b-que in Llano or Lockhart’s Kreuz Market.

Brett’s will take on either Austin’s Franklin Barbecue or McKinney’s Hutchins BBQ if they are victorious in the quarterfinal vote against fellow food truck Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ, located in Austin. Brett’s knocked out Fort Worth’s Heim Barbecue and Micklethwait Craft Meats in Austin in the first two rounds.

Voting in the quarterfinal round of the bracket runs through June 25. You can cast your vote at
