Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton will be the featured speaker at this year’s Surviving and Thriving breast cancer awareness luncheon, which is set for Sept. 26 at the Hilton in College Station.

Hamilton, who won the gold medal for figure skating in 1984, is a four-time cancer survivor. He launched a cancer research and education foundation and several survivorship programs.

The event, which begins at 11:30 a.m., is organized by Brazos Valley’s Pink Alliance. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
