Lawson Jones, 13, watches as a model train makes its way across a miniature landscape at the Bryan/College Station Model Railroad Society's track layout at Bonham Park Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013.

The Bryan-College Station Model Railroad Society is hosting its annual open house this weekend.

The free event gives visitors a chance to explore the miniature railroad display at the group’s headquarters in Bonham Park, 3057 Montana Ave. in Bryan.

The collection includes trains and a variety of urban and rural scenes from the Gulf, Texas and Western Railroad companies.

Trains will be running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

For more information, call 229-0344 or email arjay1@gmail.com.

The open house is part of an annual model railroad tour, which includes four other Brazos Valley locations where trains will be on display.

The other stops are 3680 County Road 324 in Navasota; 4902 Bay Oaks Court in College Station; 5404 Sandy Creek Lane in Brenham; and 200 South Dixie St. in Brenham.
