The intersection of Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Sandy Point Road was closed Thursday evening after a collision involving a tractor-trailer hauling chickens.

According to Bryan police, the truck was traveling southbound on Harvey Mitchell when a Dodge failed to yield right of way on Sandy Point.

Authorities said there were minor injuries, but the tractor-trailer is disabled and the chickens have to be transferred to another truck.

The intersection is expected to be close until around 10 p .m.
