Officials with CHI St. Joseph Health announced Wednesday that College Station Medical Center will now be named CHI St. Joseph Health — College Station Hospital.
The former College Station Medical Center was acquired by CHI St. Joseph in May.
The center’s physician clinics also will be renamed to CHI St. Joseph Health. Both organizations will now provide more than 50 care locations and employ more than 3,000.
“This will allow us to grow our mission of a healing ministry in the Brazos Valley as we create healthier communities,” said Theron Park, president and CEO of CHI St. Joseph Health, in a press release. “This acquisition expands access to health care and enhances existing health services for College Station residents, key reasons for CSMC to become part of the CHI St. Joseph family.”
