Entergy customers in some parts of Robertson County will be without power early Thursday as crews replace a broken pole.

Ronnie Hale, an Entergy customer service manager in the company's Navasota office, said the outage will begin at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, and all customers should have power restored by 4 a.m. Thursday.

The outage includes the towns of Calvert, Bremond, Kosse and Franklin, along with the surrounding rural areas served by Entergy.

Hale said crews can often replace poles without de-energizing large areas, but the situation proved too dangerous in this case.

Entergy has opted to schedule the outage rather than wait for the pole's status to deteriorate, Hale said, so that the necessary equipment and crews could be in place and reduce the inconvenience to customers.
