• The city of College Station presents Splash-In Cinema: The Parent Trap at 7:30 p.m. today at the Adamson Lagoon. Admission is $5. Inflatables, flotation devices and outside food and drinks are not allowed. Coast Guard-approved life vests are allowed. Concessions will be available for purchase. Purchase tickets at

• Downtown Navasota has a couple of fun and free festivities today. Fourth Friday will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Businesses and restaurants stay open late, which adds to the fun. The city also presents Sounds of Summer Concert at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Navasota, across from City Hall, featuring Brown Sugar Band. Food trucks will be on site.

• There are several chances to hear some great live music this weekend. Downtown Bryan presents Summer Sunset Series at 8 p.m. today inside the Palace Theater, featuring a free concert by Great American Boxcar Chorus.
