The Scowcroft Institute of International Affairs at the Bush School of Government and Public Service is providing the Brazos Valley with two opportunities to hear remarks by Celia Sandys, who is the granddaughter of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. 

Sandys is an internationally acclaimed author, journalist, television presenter and speaker. She has published five books on various aspects of Churchill’s life. A press release says that she will discuss Churchill’s leadership style and influence. 

Sandys will appear at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Forum at the Rudder Theatre Complex. Her Thursday remarks are titled “Memories of My Grandfather.” Sandys will also speak at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center. The Oct. 28 event is titled “The Power of Words: The Inspiring Leadership of Winston Churchill.”
