A 32-year-old Huntsville man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison after a Brazos County jury convicted him of aggravated robbery, officials said.

According to the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, Damion Jones, 32, was sentenced by Judge Travis Bryan III on Thursday.

Officials said on April 2, 2017, Jones robbed three men at gunpoint at an apartment complex on Jones-Butler Road in College Station. Jones and his accomplices are accused of restraining the victims and pistol-whipping them. Jones was connected to the robbery after a victim’s stolen phone was tracked to him. He was in possession of a gun and matched the description given by the victims, officials said.

The case is pending for a second man, and a third suspect has not been positively identified.
