James Thompson

A 67-year-old man from The Woodlands has been charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after being accused of pointing a gun at a woman following an apparent incident of road rage in Bryan.

Police said the woman was driving on Boonville Road Tuesday afternoon with four young children in her car when James Thompson apparently became upset that she was driving too slow.

Police determined Thompson began tailgating the woman while gesturing and pointed a gun at her vehicle, scaring the children.

Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

Thompson was released from the the Brazos County Jail Wednesday after posting $150,000 bail.

Extremely Fast Driver

This article fails to mention if the man was found to actually have a gun or not. Could be that the poor driver had road rage and is being untruthful.

He had a gun and he behaved intolerably. I look at this guy and he has guilt written all over his stupid face.
