A passenger in a vehicle involved in a deadly crash on Texas 21 this week has died of his injuries, officials said Thursday.

Thomas Bacak, 66, of Richmond was taken to CHI St. Joseph hospital Monday evening in critical condition after the accident. He died Tuesday, officials said.

Two other people died in the crash, which happened at the intersection of Texas 21 and OSR Monday night.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle, William Bacak, failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection and was struck by an 18-wheeler.

William Bacak, 81, and his wife Irene, 80, of Burton, were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

It wasn't immediately clear how Thomas Bacak was related to the couple.
