The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of the Brazos Valley, with strong thunderstorms in the forecast for Tuesday.

Thunderstorms and heavy rain were likely in some areas Tuesday and Wednesday, with a chance of showers through Thursday.

A flash flood watch is in effect for areas including Milam, Robertson and Leon counties through Wednesday evening.

Rainfall amounts from 2 to 3 inches are expected, with up to 5 inches in some areas, forecasters said. Large hail and damaging winds were also possible, the weather service said.
