Mary Ann was born September 28, 1929 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, the daughter of Mary O'Reilly Farrell and Thomas Rocco Farrell. She followed him to several army bases where their son, George, was born in Auburn, AL. Later, Roy went to Texas A&M University to pursue his Ph.D. and Mary Ann worked at the Extension Service. There was never a more joyful Aggie cheerleader than Mary Ann.
