U.S. Rep. Bill Flores, R-Bryan, will host virtual forums today and on July 24 for residents of the 17th congressional district. The forums, which will begin at 6:40 p.m. each night and run for about an hour, will be accessible via telephone, on Facebook and through a web link.

According to a press release, residents in the district’s northern counties — Falls, Freestone, Leon, Limestone, McLennan, Milam and Robertson counties — are asked to log in or call in for this evening’s town hall. The July 24 virtual town hall is intended for residents of Bastrop, Brazos, Burleson, Lee and Travis counties.

Flores will take questions from callers as well as through a comment section of the online video feed. Residents may sign up in advance to be added to the caller queue by visiting Flores.House.gov.

To call in, dial 1-877-229-8493 and then enter the access code 111954. To access via the Internet, visit Flores.house.gov/liveforum. To access the events on Facebook, type “Rep. Bill Flores” into the search bar and click on Flores’ official page.

As usual, Flores is a coward to refuses to meet in person with his constituents. He refuses to face the people that oppose his policies that hurt the people of his district. He refuses to answer for his continued support of a racist, incompetent president. Why do the people of this district continue re-electing a coward in the back pocket of every extremist right-wing interest there is?
