A woman whose vehicle ran out of gas in a Bryan neighborhood is facing drug charges after police reported finding ecstasy and Xanax pills in her car.

Police said officers responding to a call of a suspicious person Monday morning found 28-year-old Jeanie Castillo of Bryan walking around a car parked in the middle of the road.

She had troubling balancing and was incoherent, according to the police report.

She told police she was assaulted but would not provide details, the report states.

Officials decided to arrest her on a public intoxication charge, according to the police report, and a subsequent inventory of the car yielded 28 ecstasy pills.

While at the Brazos County Jail, officers discovered two Xanax tablets in her wallet, according to the report.

Castillo was charged with first-degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of intoxicants on public school grounds.

She was released from the Brazos County Jail on Monday after posting $16,455 bail.

Ecstasy is illegal. Where did this guy get 28 pills and are the police looking for his source also?
