June 6, 1953 - January 16, 2014
Born of humble beginnings, Mark Christopher Dziobala was born in Opatow Poland, on June 6th, 1953, the son of Sabina and Leon Dziobala. Following the death of his parents, Mark, at the age of sixteen, moved to Caldwell along with his sister, Casie and brother Andrew. Upon arrival, they were welcomed by several families, including Dr and Mrs. Joe C Smith. With loving arms the Ben M Kocurek family welcomed all three children into their home. This made the Kocurek family extend from 5 children to a new total of 8, who were all were loved just the same.
Being a man of many talents he put himself to work in many different capacities. He was a self-made man who started his own business, MD Construction, in his late 20’s. No job was too large or too small for Mark to handle.
Mark married the love of his life, Sue Kornegay Dziobala, on July 1st, 1989. To this union they had their daughter, Hannah Jane. Mark was a wonderful husband and dad. He always went above and beyond to make his two girls happy.
Mark loved to be with family and friends; he also loved to spend time outdoors. A great past time of Mark’s was tending to his livestock and land. He was a faithful member of St Mary’s, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Caldwell. There he held many duties, but most importantly he loved being in the choir where he would sing his praises to the Lord. The Emmaus Community was very close to Mark’s heart, where he served throughout the years.
Mark never met a stranger. He was always eager to extend his hand in friendship. If you knew Mark, you loved Mark.
Mark is preceded in death by his natural parents, Sabina and Leon Dziobala, and his grandmother, Maria Jedrzejewska all of Poland, and his father, Ben Kocurek, of Caldwell.
